Eastern European Easter

This year's Easter celebration was focused in how some of our pupils celebrate Easter in Eastern Europe. We were fortunate to have staff and parents who told us how in Poland, Romania and Hungary they decorate and dye eggs for the occasion. We had a special assembly where all our Eastern European children and parents took part in singing and bringing in traditional foods.

Fantastic Football Fortnight

Team Earlsmead has sadly come to the end of two fantastic weeks of Football writing! Our goal was to introduce our pupils and staff to a variety of genres, guests and authors linked to football and to get children motivated and inspired to write!

True to form, the children have reached that goal and have written a range of excellent pieces of writing including, debates, interviews, match summaries, trip recounts, football information books, narratives and poems. A selection of this good work, as well as photographs, will be published in our very own magazine!
