Important information - please read

As new technologies continue to become integral to all our lives, both within school and outside of it, the importance of understanding how to stay safe online increases.

We have created a set of strong e-safety policies which demonstrate good and safe internet practice for staff and pupils, and link to our existing policies around behaviour, anti-bullying and safeguarding.

The Acceptable Use Agreements are a group of documents that establish expected behaviour for young people, parents, carers and staff when accessing the internet and using technology in and around school.

Your children will be receiving a copy of an Acceptable Use Agreement outlining our expectations for their internet use -please take the time to read it with them and talk to them about it.

We have also published an Acceptable Use Policy for parents and carers along with supporting documents about the use of social networking and online media and the use of digital images and video. 'Beginnings' Puppet Perfromance

On Thursday 22nd September HelenandJohn an award winning comic theatre show visited Year 2 and performed their show "Beginnings".  The show follows a beleaguered creator as he struggles with his latest creation. It was noisy, punchy and deliciously disgusting theatre.  The main character - a hilarious hairy and wrinkly puppet - re-enacted creation myths involving ridiculous antics. It was performed with few words but accompanied by a loud drum kit and was manipulated by an internationally acclaimed award-winning puppeteer.  The children greatly enjoyed the whole performance and loved chatting to the puppet at the end of the show.

Moving to the London Sea Life Aquarium

Our much loved school fish have finally found a new home!

Over the holiday our school hall is going to be refurbished. Due to the building work and upheaval in the hall we needed to move the fish tank. When thinking about moving the fish tank we thought about other possible options for our fish. Although their tank is quite large, it isn’t large enough. We tried desperately to find someone who wanted to take care of our fish with a tank big enough. When our search was unsuccessful we decided to contact London Sea Life Aquarium for advice. They were keen to re-home both our fish with them at their aquarium!

Last week both fish were collected safely by staff from London Sea Life Aquarium. The fish will live in a quarantine tank for 6 weeks before being introduced into the HUGE display tanks at the aquarium.

They have promised to keep us updated with the progress of both fish. They have named the biggest fish ‘Sheldon’ after our own Sheldon in Year 4 Red. Sheldon was very fond of our fish and would visit it daily in its tank in the hall.

Our Golden Writers

Our Golden Writers for 2016 were rewarded with a special visit from author Tom Banks who is best known for his pirate adventure story, The Great Galloon. He awarded them with certificates in a special good work assembly. They then took part in a writers' workshop during which they were taught how to create interesting characters and how to develop action in story writing. Well done to all our Golden writers. Keep up all the good work next yea

A special tea for exemplary behaviour

Today the first children had a special tea with Ms. Shah.  Four children; Emila (Year 6 Violet), Yusuf (Year 3 Blue), Luke (Reception Butterflies) and Almere (Year 1 Pink) were all picked from our ticket box as they had shown exemplary behaviour in our school lunch hall.  We listened to your ideas about lunchtime and lots of you wanted a different reward for excellent behaviour. From now on the lunchtime staff will give children raffle tickets when they behave well, are polite and eat lots of food.  We will pick out 4 names during Thursdays assembly.  The children selected can choose one of their friends to have morning tea and cake after break on Fridays.  We have put more of your ideas in place at lunchtime.  Please visit our Pupil Voice area to see where we have listened to your voice and what we have done.

Save the air - walk there!

We want all our children, parents and staff to be able to breath clean air, live healthy, long and fulfilling lives and for Haringey to be a clean and safe borough. Our aim is for every child and young person to walk, cycle and use the bus to get to school. Because of this we have launched a walking zone map which you will be able to see around the school.
